Curriculum:
Students focus on the development statements in the Early years foundation stage followed by the Primary department where a full academic programme is based on the National Curriculum of England with slight adaptations to reflect the international setting. Secondary students may choose to follow either a British or American curriculum. The British section leads to IGCSE, A/S and A level examinations. The students embarking on an American section path will study a typical College Preparatory High School program including AP and Honors courses leading to an accredited American High School Diploma. Students from both British and American sections may apply to study the last two years in the International Baccalaureate Diploma section of the school.

College Counselling:
Counsellors are available to assist students with their college preparations.

Facilities:
Include two swimming pools, a huge sports hall, three multi-purpose halls, two drama studios, a design and technology suite, a 400-seat theatre, three libraries, five computer suites and an athletics track. These facilities complement the art and music suites, the nine science laboratories as well as the faculty suites and family designed year group pods.

Transportation:
Both students and staff have access to a fleet of air conditioned buses with routes to all areas of Cairo and the suburbs.

Interscholastic Sports:
MES Cairo students participate in Volleyball, Basketball, Football and Swimming. They compete in a number of tournaments throughout the region, such as CISSA (Cairo International Schools Sports Association) tournaments locally against other international schools, and ISAC (International Schools Activities Conference) tournaments against international schools around the Middle East.

Music:
There are three peripatetic Music concerts, a Secondary Talent Show, the Whole School Musical Production, Graduation Choir, the ABRSM music exams for those taking peripatetic music lessons and six Primary Year Group Productions. Approximately 260 students study a musical instrument or take vocal lessons.

Community Service:
Involvement in Community, Action and Service projects including local charity work is highly emphasized. The National Honor Society and the Student Council are also very active in community service and charity projects.

Extra-curricular:
Both Primary and Secondary After School Activities (ASAs) are offered throughout the year. The school also sponsors a number of excellent trips abroad. A few notables include the Humanities Environmental trip to Cyprus, the Arts Festival in Kuwait the Secondary Ski Trip to Crans Montana and the Secondary Trip to France.
