Learning outside the classroom is an integral part of an MES Cairo education. In order to better understand themselves and their place in the world, students need to experience life beyond their 'norm'. Alongside a full calendar of day excursions to locations of relevance to the curriculum and of interest in and around Cairo, students can access multiple opportunities to partake in residentials within Egypt and abroad.

Some examples of residential trips include the Year 4 trip to Ain Sohkna, the Year 5 Luxor trip and a residential to Cyprus for all eligible students in Year 6. When students are in Secondary, there are opportunities to travel to Europe for trips which promote increased understanding of global languages and cultures, sports experiences within the region, MUN conferences around the world, and International Award 'survival' expeditions, to name just a few.
